Spartansburg Amish Woman Charged After Buggy Drinking Party

A 19-year-old Amish woman faces underage drinking charges after state police responded to a report of Amish drinking, jumping out of buggies, throwing beer bottles in the road and sitting in the road in Sparta Township Sunday night.

Police said the woman had two beers in her possession and was under the influence of alcohol.

The incident was reported about 8:30 p.m. Sunday on Route 77.
