There are certain diseases and medical conditions that historically have brought on a sense of fear just by the mention of their names. About 5.3 million Americans have been diagnosed with the most common form of dementia and the numbers are growing. That’s because we’re living longer and the older a person is, the better their chances are for developing Alzheimer’s.
