The jury has made its decision in the case of a shooting death of a 19-year-old man in April of 2016.  Marquis Knight is found not guilty on all counts.

Knight was cross-examined by Erie County District Attorney yesterday before jurors heard closing statements.  Knight was on trial for the 2016 murder of Allen Basham.  The 19-year-old was found shot to death in the 1100 block of West 26th Street.

Prosecutors were seeking a first-degree murder conviction, and Knight’s defense argued he acted in self-defense, an argument that the jury stood behind.
