A jury has been chosen in the homicide trial of four Erie defendants accused in a 16-year-old boy’s shooting death.

The defense and prosecution worked into Thursday evening to select 12 jurors and two alternates in the trial against the four — Keshawn C. McLaurin and Jahaun M. Jones, both 20; Demond D. Mitchell, 21, and Stephen T. Russell, 22.

They are accused of participating in a drive-by shooting on July 24, 2015, at an outdoor party near West 29th and Summit streets, killing Shakur Franklin and wounding four others.

Opening statements and testimony are set to begin Monday before Erie County Judge William R. Cunningham.
