Erie police charge that a city woman left children home alone and drove to an area of the city’s east side, where she intentionally struck her boyfriend with her vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

The accused driver, 29-year-old Deshauna M. Hubbart, was arraigned Wednesday morning by Erie 5th Ward District Judge Paul Bizzarro on felony counts of aggravated assault and aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, misdemeanor counts of DUI and endangering the welfare of children, and a summary count of reckless driving in the incident, which happened in the 2200 block of Parade Street on Tuesday at about 12:40 p.m.
