State police accuse him of assaulting and choking a woman in Greene Township Friday.
The Pennsylvania State Police accuse an Erie man of raping, assaulting and strangling a woman in Greene Township early Friday morning.
Jeremy Cruz, 29, remained in the Erie County Prison on $100,000 bond Wednesday following his arraignment Tuesday afternoon by Greene Township District Judge Susan Strohmeyer on charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, strangulation, aggravated indecent assault and terroristic threats.
The victim told police that she was with Cruz early Friday morning when they began arguing. She said Cruz pulled into a driveway off Lake Pleasant Road, ordered her into the back seat of his vehicle and raped and choked her, according to information in the affidavit of probable cause that state police Trooper Scott Sipko filed with the criminal complaint.
The victim said Cruz then drove to another location and raped her again, according to the affidavit.
