Three motorists face charges of driving under the influence and three others face drug charges following a sobriety checkpoint that Pennsylvania State Police troopers based at Troop E headquarters in Lawrence Park Township conducted over the weekend.

Troopers who worked the detail made contact with more than 40 motorists, state police reported on Wednesday. One motorist was taken into custody for driving under the influence, one for DUI-drugs and one following a DUI-related crash. Three people were also arrested for possession of suspected drugs or possession of drug paraphernalia, troopers reported.
