Erie police towed a car and plan to search it for evidence in an ongoing investigation into a shooting that wounded a woman in the hand on the city’s west side on Monday night.

The woman, whose name and age were not available Tuesday, was found wounded when officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of Raspberry Street shortly before 10 p.m. Monday. It was reported that two males were seen running from the scene, investigators said Tuesday.

Police found a car with suspected drugs inside and towed it as part of the investigation, and the area where the shooting occurred was being held as a crime scene Tuesday morning.

Additional details on the incident were not available Tuesday morning.
