Lynn V. Dingfelder, 63, pleaded guilty in July to one count each of corruption of minors, indecent assault and endangering the welfare of children, all third-degree felonies. He also pleaded no contest to one first-degree misdemeanor count of corruption of minors.
Erie County Judge Daniel Brabender sentenced Dingfelder to serve three to six years in state prison and four years of probation. Brabender said the sentence was in the high end of the standard range of state guidelines. Dingfelder is also subject to lifetime registration as a sex offender.
State police said Dingfelder had indecent contact with the girls, who were 5, 7, 8 and 9 when the contact began, several times at a Wayne Township residence. One girl was victimized between 2007 and 2010, one between 2012 and 2015 and two between 2014 and 2015, police said.
Dingfelder retired as Corry’s streets department supervisor in 2011, according to Corry City Council minutes.
