Prior to moving his practice to Erie County, Attorney Sebald served as Assistant Crawford County Public Defender. He was a partner in a thriving area law firm for six years, focusing in the practice areas of Criminal Law, Family Law and Personal Injury.

Attorney Stephen Sebald has practiced law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Sebald served as an intensive case manager in Erie County, facilitating a clinical psychiatric team charged with providing support for children with mental illnesses, and their families, as they transitioned into the local community. 

In 2011, Stephen Sebald was selected for nomination as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in the Super Lawyers magazine. The Super Lawyers magazine is a well-known legal magazine that not only contains great legal articles but also names attorneys in each state who have received the highest rating from their peers and through professional achievement.

Attorney Hackwelder attended Clarion University and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Attorney Hackwelder then attended Western Michigan's Thomas M. Cooley College of Law and graduated in 2001.

Attorney Hackwelder has devoted his career to the representation of people regarding various legal issues. His tenacity and aggressive style has shown him to be successful and sought after int he fields of criminal defense, family law, Children Services Law and litigation.

Attorney Hackwelder began his career as a Law Clerk to President Judge Ernest J. DiSantis, Jr. and then as an Assistant District Attorney in Erie County, PA. He then moved on to the role as a solicitor for the Erie County Office of Children and Youth. Attorney Hackwelder's background gives him the necessary trial success and experience required to achieve the best results possible.

Attorney Orton graduated summa cum laude from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992. Attorney Orton then earned a Juris Doctor degree and graduated cum laude from the University of Memphis in 1995.

Following her graduation from law school, Attorney Orton practiced at a small firm in Memphis, Tennessee.  After moving to the Erie area, she operated her own general practice firm, served as an adjunct professor at Gannon University and worked for a large Erie law firm.

Attorney Orton concentrates her practice on family law, elder law, estate planning & administration, and real estate.

With over twenty years of experience, Attorney Orton has successfully litigated and received favorable rulings in numerous family law matters including custody and support.  She is also collaboratively trained in family law matters.   Attorney Orton has written and edited several articles in connection with elder law and estate planning issues.  She has also presented various seminars on family law and elder law issues.  She is a former Article Editor for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) Student Journal and a member of PA NAELA chapter.

Attorney Orton was selected as the North East News Journal Readers' Choice “Best Attorney” for 2012 and 2013.  She is actively involved in the North East community and is a Board Member of the Community Nursing Services of North East and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Shiloh Chapter No. 153, North East.

Attorney Patrick Kelley, born and raised in Erie, PA, is a 2002 graduate of Penn State University in University Park, PA with a degree in Labor Studies & Industrial Relations. He is also a 2006 graduate of Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH, where he appeared on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll, and completed an academic concentration in Employment and Labor Law.

Attorney Kelley moved back to Erie after law school and began focusing his practice in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense. For six years he was the Managing Attorney at SafeNet, Inc., providing valuable legal representation to victims of domestic violence, all the while maintaining a private practice in the areas of Custody, Divorce, and Support litigation.
