An Erie woman was jailed Thursday after city police accused her of slashing her boyfriend in the head with a kitchen knife at an eastside residence on Wednesday evening.

Angelic A. Parks, 24, is accused of using a kitchen knife to cut the male victim, causing a laceration to his head, during a reported dispute at a residence in the 500 block of East Second Street on Wednesday at about 6 p.m., according to information in the criminal complaint. The man was taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment.

Parks was arraigned by Erie 3rd Ward District Judge Tom Carney on a felony count of aggravated assault and on a misdemeanor count of simple assault. She was placed in the Erie County Prison on $50,000 bond.
